Let’s talk about dresses and boots today. Actually, specifically, I want to talk about green summer dresses and Dr Martens boots. I’m in the kind of mood to wear those chunky boots with virtually everything right now, so I think it’s about the right time to share with you one of my favourite looks.

OUTFIT OF THE DAY: GREEN SUMMER DRESSES AND DR MARTENS BOOTS
LIGHT GREEN CRINKLE BUTTON FRONT MINI DRESS
I absolutely love this light green crinkle button front mini dress.
Firstly, it’s only £17.99.
Secondly, it comes in four different colours: black, light green, blue, and mid pink. The blue one kinda reminds me of that infamous Kate Middleton picture outside the Lindo Wing, with one of the royal babies in her arms.
Thirdly, it’s super cute and casual, but can totally be dressed up too.
Fourthly, it’s light and airy and comfortable for summer. And while we’re on the subject of summer, what happened to the Great British summer? I mean, I know it’s global warming and all, but it’s getting hotter and more uncomfortable every year now, right?
Fifthly, it’s the kind of dress that you can wear all month long. What I mean by that is, it’s loose and airy enough for when you’re feeling bloated and a few pounds heavier, so you could wear it at *that* time of the month without any worries.
Big drawback: no pockets. Where will I put my snacks?

DR MARTENS BLACK JADON 8 EYE BOOTS
These boots go with pretty much everything and anything, as far as I’m concerned. If I could wear them every day for the rest of my life, I would, quite happily.
These Dr Martens Black Jadon 8 eye boots are £169 from Schuh, where you will also find a range of vegan Dr Martens that are virtually exactly the same as the regular, non-vegan ones … they’re just more ethical.
ROSE GOLD PADLOCK PENDANT CHAIN NECKLACE
What are your opinions on cheap (ish) costume-style jewellery? I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I love cheap jewellery. It means I can buy more of it … who’s with me?
At the time of writing, this necklace was on sale: £4.19, down from £5.99.
It’s available in rose gold, gold, and silver — but gold was out of stock when I looked.

TORTOISESHELL DROP NECKLACE
Also originally from Topshop but no longer available on the website, I found the cutest tortoiseshell necklace on Etsy that would make for a great replacement: Blonde tortoise shell minimalist necklace. It’s £12 and you can get it in two finishes: silver and gold.
TORTOISESHELL LINK DROP EARRINGS
Originally from Topshop but no longer available, I found a pair of tortoiseshell earrings that are similar (and super cute) on Etsy: Handmade Tortoise Shell Geometric Rectangle Hanging Earrings, for £8.
Etsy actually has a pretty incredible range of tortoiseshell jewellery pieces, some of which are one-of-a-kind — and you’d be supporting small businesses in many cases!
HARPER HEXAGON HANDLE GRAB BAG
Originally from Topshop but -again- no longer available, ASOS has an absolutely AMAZING replacement: Skinnydip Mina Tort Clutch Bag in Tortoiseshell — £32, down from £50. It’s in my basket already, I love it so much!
HELEN PREPPY ROUND SUNGLASSES
The pair in my #OOTD are originally from Topshop but are no longer available (fast fashion, huh?), I found some cute ones on the Boohoo website that I feel would work just as well: Oversized Tortoiseshell Glasses – £4.
If you feel inspired by my outfit ideas today, please tell me all about it! Create your own look — green summer dresses and Dr Martens boots — and then share the link with me (via comment/email/social media) so I can add it to this post. Please and thank you!
